White House State Dinner Crashers Tareq & Michaele Salahi Named In 16 Lawsuits

by on November 27, 2009

Invite? We don’t need no stinkin’ invite! Two aspiring reality personalities for Bravo’s forthcoming docudrama The Real Housewives of DC attended The White House’s state dinner this week — sans invitation.

Tareq and Michaele Salahi, a pair of polo-playing socialites popular on the horse circuit in Fauquier County, Virginia, arrived at the Obamas’ first state dinner, in honor of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, at The White House on Tuesday. Their arrival, however, has raised more than a few eyebrows, The Washington Post wrote Thursday. The couple were not on the guest list and the Secret Service is investigating its security procedures, a spokesman for the agency said.

Perhaps even more interesting than the crashing couple’s infilitration of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is their laundry list of run-ins with the justice system: Tareq and Michaele have been named in at least 16 different civil suits in the past decade.
